Create an interactive tool to help vets and farmers understanding the efficacy of Bovela vaccine (for BVD) in comparison to its competitor.
Result
After understanding all the variables involved in the process of cows/herd vaccinations we came up with an interactive svg, to be used in iPad.
There are two rings representing three years. One related to the heifer vaccination and a second related to the herd vaccination. Frequently both vaccinations occurs at different times. After being fertilised and giving birth to a calf the cows are put together with the herd. When this occurs if their vaccination is no longer active (after a year of being vaccinated) they put the entire herd at risk. This tool helps to visualise how both vaccines behave and make clear the difference between them.
This interactive tool was initially created to include in an interactive presentation for medical reps. Due to it’s success among Vets and Farmers we adapted the tool for a web version shown here.
